Healthier Versions of Your Favorite Halloween Candies
Healthier Halloween candy for our kids – is it realistic? I’m always struggling to strike that balance between wanting my daughter to participate and share in all the memory-making collective traditions that our society values, and trying to do what’s best for her.
Today’s favorites (Snickers, Kit Kats, Twix etc.) are a chemical cocktail of synthetics, toxic dyes, hydrogenated oils and high fructose corn syrups. We’re going to go trick-or-treating on Friday, but at home I’m going to have some of these better choices that are just as yummy.
I included as many organic, soy-free, GMO free, all natural recipes as possible (and healthier store bought options if they are available). Here’s to a less scary Halloween for you and your family!
Make it – Dark Chocolate Almond Joy
Make it – Healthier Carmel Corn (I make this into carmel corn balls)
Buy it – GoNaturally Assorted Hard Candies
Make it – Homemade Kit Kat Bar Recipe (I’m replacing the agave with honey)
Make it – Homemade Rollo Knockoffs Recipe (Vegan)
Make it – Chocolate Peanut Caramel Protein Bar Recipe (aka Snickers)
Make it – Healthy Snickers Bar (Vegan)
Buy it – Ocho Peanut and Carmel Candy Bar

I’d love to hear how some of these work out for you!
