Tuning into the moon and celebrating its phases has been transformative, moving my family ever-closer to nature and her rhythms. These past years have been challenging for so many families. Being able look up and flow along with the phases of the moon, when other aspects of any predictable social rhythm slipped away, has been reassuring.
FREE 2022 FULL MOON PRINTABLEI have the pleasure of sharing this resource with other families for over five years. This turn of the lunar year is going to be filled with renewing energy, I can feel it!
The poster features the 12 names and dates of the full moons for 2022. Naming the moons is a tradition that stretches across the globe and was often tied to natural occurrences that emerged in each biome. The names on the poster first appeared in the Maine Farmers' Almanac in the 1930s and are rooted in colloquial Celtic, Native American, colonial and other ancestral traditions. It's important to note that Native tribes are not monoliths. To find out accurate historical information, connect with your local First Nations organizations.
The Full Moon Printable acts as the guide for the Kids Moon Club. If you are interested in aligning more closely with the rhythm of the moon, celebrating the full moon rising and connecting more closely with your family and community, get on the waitlist for the Kids Moon Club.
